I'm 38 and im from perth, Australia.
My biggest accomplishment is being internationally published in fashion magazines, and on the cover of a national magazine.
I want people to know that we cant turn it off for their comfort. And to please at least attempt to modify the world so we can be included.
Having access to a support group helped me to understand myself a lot more and also helped my fiancee as well to know what to do to help me.
I wasnt diagnosed as a child because hardly anyone knew about autism then. I was just seen as a weird naughty kid. Signs and indications that I have autism is that I had a lot of issues with loud noises and socialization. Also my sensory issues had been there from birth.
My biggest barrier on getting an official diagnosis is finances and peoples ideas of what autism is.
